Zelensky gives powerful Victory Day address

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has delivered a video statement marking the day of the Allied victory in Europe in 1945, in which he compared Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine to the evils of Nazism. The black-and-white video, published on social media on Sunday, showed Zelensky standing in front of a ruined apartment block in Borodyanka. The Kyiv suburb was left devastated by shelling and bombardments, before Russian troops withdrew from the capital region weeks ago.
