US President Joe Biden has hailed Irish leadership over the Ukraine crisis during a St Patrick’s Day meeting with Taoiseach Micheal Martin. During the virtual bilateral meeting, Mr Biden also reaffirmed the US administration’s “unequivocal support” for the Good Friday Agreement. Mr Biden, who identifies deeply with his own Irish heritage, was seated beside the traditional St Patrick’s Day bowl of shamrock during the meeting.
