UEFA strips Russia of Champions League final following invasion of Ukraine
UEFA has confirmed this season’s Champions League final will no longer take place in Russia and will instead be held in France. The final of Europe’s prestigious club competition was due to be played in St Petersburg on 28 May. However, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine forced European football’s governing body to draw up new plans.
