New Stormont organ donation laws named after boy on waiting list for a new heart

A major reform of organ donation legislation in Northern Ireland has been named after a five-year-old who has been waiting most of his life for a new heart. Daithi’s Law was passed by MLAs on Tuesday representing a major change to rules organ donation. The new legislation will mean all adults become potential donors unless they specifically opt out.
