More than 300 dogs surrendered to Ireland's Dogs Trust as 73% increase recorded
Dogs Trust Ireland has received 297 surrender requests since Christmas Day, a 73 percent increase on the same period last year. The charity says some owners have been victims of "dog-fishing"- where a puppy purchased online arrives and looks nothing like its picture. 'Lack of time' was the biggest reason for surrendering the dog to Ireland's Dog's Trust, says Operations Manager, Maciej Trojanowicz.
