Large crowd dances in popular Dublin nightclub after lockdown ends

A large crowd can be seen dancing and letting their hair down on Friday night in Tramline nightclub in Dublin's city centre in this clip.

The popular spot - on D'Olier Street - was one of a number of nightclubs that re-opened this weekend after 18 months.

However, today, a group representing nightclub owners described new ticketing rules for live music and late-night hospitality in Ireland as a “disaster”.

The Licensed Vintners Association (LVA) said the Government process to reopen the sector had become “Keystone Cops meets Father Ted stuff”.

However, Taoiseach Micheal Martin has insisted that the Government had been very supportive of the industry and that ticketing was something which could be done quite easily.

All nightclub events must be ticketed from next week, according to Government guidelines published on Friday evening.
