Gemma Collins claims victory at Oxford Union as she wins her case for innovative dishes to be served up this Xmas

Gemma Collins has come out on top in a fierce debate at the prestigious Oxford Union, during which she argued her case for new and modernised Christmas food against European Debate Championship quarterfinalist, Samuel Scheuer. While Christmas is a time for festivities, new research from Sainsbury’s revealed that almost 13 million Brits are predicted to engage in dinner table debates about Christmas meal controversies this year. What’s more, food causes the most tiffs at Christmas (35%), beating what Christmas films to watch (17%), when to open presents (11%), or what game to play (10%). To help settle the Christmas clashes, Gemma Collins went head-to-head with one of the country’s top debaters at the esteemed Oxford Union to reveal the biggest festive squabbles. With overwhelming support from the audience during her speeches, her determination won over the chamber with roaring success, as they voted in favour of her argument. Alongside the Christmas classics, Sainsbury’s has introduced some innovative twists on festive favourites such as by Sainsbury’s Pigs in Snowy Blankets sushi and by Sainsbury’s Grinch Snacks Brussels Sprout & Parsnip Snacking Bhajis.
