Gardai warn of delays on major Dublin routes during fuel prices protest

Motorists have been told to expect severe delays on major routes in and around Dublin, as hauliers stage a protest against record fuel prices. A group calling itself the Irish Truckers And Haulage Association Against Fuel Prices said in a Facebook post it would drive truck convoys into Dublin, aiming to reach the Dail. An Garda Siochana told commuters to plan to avoid the protests, and said it has "an appropriate and proportionate" plan to deal with the disruption.
