French minister apologises over Champions League final disorder
French authorities have apologised after unrest at Saturday's Champions League final outside Paris but insisted police were not the only ones to blame. The sport minister told journalists on Monday that organisers faced "difficulties in the way (they) managed the flows". Amélie Ouéda-Castéra insisted that a transportation strike and late arrivals had in part caused the chaotic scenes that delayed the start of the final for 37 minutes. "We don't want to say that we did everything well," Ms Ouéda-Castéra conceded.
