Boy who camped for more than 21 months fundraising awarded the British Empire Medal

A 12-year-old boy who raised enough money for his local hospice to hire 16 extra nurses through his camping challenge has been recognised in the New Year Honours list, being awarded the British Empire Medal. Max Woosey, from Devon, has raised over £570,000 for the North Devon Hospice by spending every night in a tent since March 28 2020.
