Arctic Walrus spotted off the coast of Kerry
A walrus was spotted ashore at Knightstown, Valentia Island, Co. Kerry on Sunday 14th March. This Arctic species is an infrequent visitor to Irish waters, with 11 records on Bio Data Centre Ireland, dating back to 1897.
