He told WWD: "Taylor is an easy, breezy, beautiful, relaxed girl-next-door. You can dress her up and you can dress her down. She reflects us - she is your girl-next-door; she can be anyone, she can be your sister, can be your daughter, a party girl, you name it."
And speaking of the forthcoming campaign, which will is also modelled by Russian model Natalia Vodianova, he said: "Our ad campaigns and our company have always been about fun, always been about being in the moment - pitching a spirit of aliveness and joy. Whether it's Kate, Natalia, whomever we've used over the years. We just continue to do more of the same and stay true to who we are.
"The spirit of this campaign and using Taylor and Natalia captures that feeling of youthfulness and playfulness - it has everything to do with American style."
