WADE MAGIC WATCH: James Wade's perfect nine-darter lights up World Championships
James Wade produced a perfect nine-dart leg at the World Championships, but it was not enough to avoid defeat against Stephen Bunting.
Wade has been in sparkling form in recent weeks and was one of the dark horses to win his first world title at an event being played without crowds at London's Alexandra Palace.
Yet his dreams died as he was hit with a fine performance from Bunting, who ran out a 4-2 winner in their third round match.
It meant Wade's achievement of hitting the first nine-darter at the World Championships in five years will be little consolation for the Englishman.

Bunting is now emerging as a contender for the title, as he will be favourite to beat unseeded Ryan Searle in the next round.
