Shane Lowry's impressive return to form continued as he recorded another top ten finish in The Memorial tournament, with his final round featuring a stunning approach shot at the 9th hole.

Lowry secured a top ten finish in last month's US PGA Championship to confirm he was back in good touch ahead of his defence of the Open Championship in July.

Now the Irishman secured a tie for sixth at his latest event with a final round of 70 earning him a cheque in excess of $300,000 for his week's work.

The show he will remember came mid-way through his round, as he attempted to scramble a par after a poor tee shot on the ninth hole and ended up with a stunning birdie.

Lowry certainly seems to be coming to the boil with the US Open and the Open Championship now on the golfing horizon.

Patrick Cantlay won The Memorial tournament after a thrilling play-off win against Collin Morikawa.
