The Premier League is set to kick back into gear this weekend after the final international break of the season and the battle for a top four finish is set to be one of the most fascinating sub-plots to follow.

With Manchester City certain to be crowned as champions after a dominant season for Pep Guardiola's side, the chase for the minor places that guarantee qualification for next season's Champions League will dominate the headlines.

With Manchester United's position in the top four looking secure as they have an eight-point cushion on fifth placed West Ham, we have look at the remaining fixtures for the chasing pack and the final analysis suggest we could be in for a final day shoot-out in the push to finish in the top four.

Liverpool's miserable run of form at the start of 2021 has put the defending Premier League champions on the back foot in the chase for a Champions League finish, with former Reds striker and Sunday World columnist John Aldridge suggesting it will come down to a last day decider.

"I think Liverpool have given themselves too much to do to finish in the top four," Aldo told sundayworld.com. "If they win their remaining nine games, they will probably do it but I don't see that happening.

"Chelsea are in the box seat and Leicester could be pulled back into the mix if they stumble as they did last season. It could all come down to the final round of matches to decide it."

Here is our look at the remaining games for the top four contenders, with our prediction seeing Chelsea finish just one point ahead of Liverpool.
