Manchester United are ready to a launch a final desperate bid to sign Jadon Sancho - and they may finally be ready to offer more than €100m.

Borussia Dortmund have made it clear all summer that they will not consider a deal for Sancho unless United pay their €120m asking price, but United insiders believe that position can be shifted ahead of tomorrow's transfer deadline.

Sancho missed Dortmund's game against Freiburg yesterday with what the club described as 'illness', sparking speculation that United are finally ready to sign their top transfer target.

Meanwhile, veteran Edinson Cavani will become a United player within the next 24 hours.

The Uruguayan star jets into England today. And providing the 33-year-old passes a medical he will sign a two-year deal, worth an estimated £210,000 a week after tax.

Cavani was released as a free agent by Paris Saint-German in the summer. Now he could be playing against them on October 20 in the Champions League.
