Former Republic of Ireland captain Roy Keane does not believe England will win Euro 2020, but he is expecting big things from Gareth Southgate's side this summer.

In a jovial car ride with his Sky Sports colleague Micah Richards, Keane suggested England have what it takes to make the semi-finals in this summer's tournament, but he doesn't expect them to lift the trophy on home soil.

"I'm probably going to say semi-final. I just think maybe (defensively) they will be caught out," said Keane.

"Gareth is in a great position. He's got some brilliant options. In midfield and with attacking player, Gareth is one lucky man."

Keane then looked through the England team, as he suggested defensive decisions will be crucial for Southgate, while he suggested Mason Mount and Phil Foden has to play.

"If (Harry) Maguire is fit, you'd have to go with Maguire and John Stones. At left back, I'll probably go (Luke Shaw)

"Two players who have to play will definitely be Foden and Mount and then you look up front and you have Harry Kane through the middle.

"Sometimes you look at the players who have had a quiet spell and (Marcus) Rashford and (Raheem) Sterling, these lads may be ready to explode. Gareth like Rashford and Sterling."
