Harry Kane scored his first Premier League goals of the season on Sunday and it continued one of his more remarkable goal scoring statistics at Tottenham.

Kane fired Tottenham's second goal in their 3-2 win at Newcastle to score his 88th goal away from home in the Premier League.

That leaves him just six behind Wayne Rooney in the all-time list for away goals in the Premier League, but the rapid rate of Kane's scoring is especially eye-catching.

Kane has fired his Premier League away goals in just 128 games, while Rooney's haul of 94 came in 243 matches.

The third name in the list is Alan Shearer with 87 goals from 219 games, while Frank Lampard scored 85 goals in away matches from 205 games.

Kane has now scored 228 goals for Spurs in 347 appearances, leaving him just 38 behind Jimmy Greaves in Tottenham's all-time top scorers list.

Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo will be relieved to see Kane getting on the score sheet after a troubled start to the season for the England captain, after he was strongly linked with move to Manchester City last summer.

Premier League away goals:

Wayne Rooney - 94 in 243 appearances

Harry Kane - 88 in 128

Alan Shearer - 87 in 219

Frank Lampard - 85 in 305

Andrew Cole - 83 in 206
