Manchester United have been dealing with plenty of problems on and off the field over the last year, yet one statistic suggests they are failing in a key area when they take to the field.

United have not scored a Premier League goal from a corner since Harry Maguire's effort in the 2-1 defeat against Sheffield United on January 27th 2020, with interim manager Ralf Rangnick conceding it is a major flaw in their make-up.

"This is really a little bit weird," said Rangnick. "We have players who should be technically able to deliver the balls in the right way.

"In the end, this is a question of training time, but is also a question of deliveries."

The team at the top of the list of goal from corners may also be a surprise, with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool leading the way with 14 goals from 136 shots taken after corners.

Liverpool's free-flowing attacking style may suggest most of their goals come from open play, but the majestic delivery of Trent Alexander-Arnold from set-pieces has been a great source of goals for Klopp's side.

West Ham have scored 12 goals from corners over the past two seasons, while Manchester City (11) and Newcastle (10) have also been successful with their set-piece routines.

Now Rangnick will look to get his team back on track after last weekend's shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Championship side Middlesbrough.
