So what were the odds on correctly predicting all ten matches on the final day of the Premier League season?

Well, it turns out that the crazy bet served up odds of 4,503/1 and remarkably, a Paddy Power punter in Liverpool managed to cash the windfall on Sunday.

With the battle for a top four finish in England's top division on the line and a host of matches that were tough to predict, the chances of correctly predicting all ten matches must have been as likely as a modest lottery win.

Yet Tottenham's late comeback to beat Leicester and deny them a place in the Champions League, along with Aston Villa's win against top four chasing Chelsea were all on the betting slip for a punter who must be wishing he put more than £5 on his bet.

The winning total that ticked into his online betting account at around 6pm on Sunday evening was a whopping £22,520 and that wasn't the only crazy bet that came good last weekend.

How about predicting the first four winners of a competitive race card at the Curragh on Sunday, with a win for 14/1 shot Empress Josephine in the Irish 1,000 Guineas sealing the big win.

The Paddy Power punter from Navan, Co Meath €3,016 off just a €1 stake, with these two tales proving the bookies don't always win.
