Manchester United are preparing to unveil Jadon Sancho as their first big signing of the summer, with the England attacking midfielder set to be used as part of the club's new kit launch.

United agreed a deal to sign Sancho from Borussia Dortmund earlier this month, with the 21-year-old undergoing a medical and taking part in a video and photo shoot on Tuesday ahead of the announcement to confirm his arrival.

It is anticipated that United will use Sancho as a key figure in the official launch of their new home kit, with United keen to promote their big-name signing in a pre-season publicity splurge.

Sancho's move to United will help him to recover from the heart ache of missing a penalty in England's shoot-out defeat Italy in Sunday's Euro 2020 final against Italy at Wembley.

The player was then subjected to vile abuse on social media platforms, along with his soon to be United team-mate Marcus Rashford and Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, after all three missed penalties in the shoot-out.

United captain Harry Maguire has welcomed the arrival of Sancho, who is finally set to arrive at the club after they failed in a bid to sign him last summer.

"Jadon is a top player, exceptional talent, a young lad with a lot of experience," said Maguire last week.

"His numbers speak for themselves, what he has done over in Germany. He is a great player. I don't think it is a done deal yet.

"We can't confirm he is a Manchester United player, I know it is close but he is still a Dortmund player as it stands.

"Of course, it is exciting times ahead and hopefully we will get it across the line."
