Liverpool have been hoping to tie Mohamed Salah down to a new contract in lengthy contract talks in recent months and now speculation is mounting that a deal could be close.
Salah's current Liverpool contract expires in the summer of 2023, with sundayworld.com informed that reports suggesting the Egyptian is pushing for a lavish deal worth £500,000-a-week are wide of the mark.
Instead, a structured deal has been under negotiation that will see Salah receive a big signing on fee and a contract that will include loyalty bonuses and performance related payments.
That would allow Liverpool's owners to keep the wage bill under control, while also rewarding their star man with a contract that justifies his status as one of the club's all-time great forwards.
Now Salah's agent Rammy Abass Issa has tweeted an image of happy scenes in what appears to be a meeting room at Anfield, sparking hope among the club's fans that a deal may be close being finalised.

Sunday World columnist John Aldridge predicted last month that Salah would sign a new contract this month, as he believes the cost of replacing him ensures Liverpool's owners will pay what is required to keep the Egyptian.
"The people who run Liverpool do it so well and they can't just let this run and run," Aldo told sundayworld.com. "I'm pretty sure behind the scenes there must be things going on behind the scenes.
"The way football has gone, the figures the top players are on is ridiculous and Mo Salah merits it, so they have to do it. The other Liverpool players have to realise he is that good and they have to accept it.
"It would be more expensive to go out and get someone. They have to do a deal.

"I don't think Liverpool will get anyone in January and that will be our signing in January, Mo Salah's contract.
"He is fit as a fiddle and you look at what (Cristiano) Ronaldo and (Lionel) Messi have done, if you keep yourself fit and stay injury free, then you can do a lot of damage.
"There have been a few wrangles with the fans over the years about not spending enough, so I can't see them allowing Salah to go."
