Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has confirmed his interest in signing Harry Kane, despite concern that Tottenham would refuse to do business with their London rivals.

Kane has told Tottenham that he wants to leave this summer, prompting interest from Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea. While City manager Pep Guardiola and United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have given little away over their desire to sign Kane, Tuchel made no attempt to hide his feelings.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has been adamant that he does not want to sell Kane and sources believe Chelsea would be the least desirable club for the striker to join from a Tottenham perspective.

“If you find any coach around the world who would not like to have Harry Kane in his team, call me again,” said Tuchel. “I would like to speak with the guy and hear about his ideas of scoring and attacking.

“Everybody loves Harry Kane but let’s be very, very clear: he is a player for Tottenham. He has a long-term contract, and we will not get involved in any press conference with any disrespectful comments about that.”
