Munster are not the only Irish province to have had their Heineken Champions Cup preparations rocked by Covid-19 this week, as Leinster have confirmed three players and a member of staff have tested positive ahead of Saturday's opener against Bath at the Aviva Stadium.

All three players were tested outside the PCR testing window and are now self-isolating.

Further PCR testing was carried out at Leinster yesterday morning on 94 players, coaches and staff and 93 tests returned negative results, with one further positive result from a member of staff.

The HSE has been informed in accordance with public health guidelines.

The Leinster squad will take part in the captain’s run on Friday ahead of Saturday’s European game against Bath.

Head coach Leo Cullen is announcing his team for the Pool A clash and speak to media at lunchtime.
