Rachael Blackmore's historic Grand National win may have been toasted by racing fans around the world - but it was a hammer blow to bookies.
With Blackmore's superstar status enhanced by her stunning wins at last month's Cheltenham Festival, punters rushed to back her in the Grand National after she opted to ride Minella Times for trainer Henry De Bromhead.
Now Paddy Power have revealed that her latest history-making win has cost the bookie a whopping €15 million pay-out as punters lumped on the Tipperary jockey who had six winners at the Cheltenham Festival last month.

It was a thrilling 1-2 for trainer Henry De Bromhead who won his first Aintree Grand National and also had the second Balko Des Flos at a huge 100/1 for punters.
Any Second Now (15/2), Burrows Saint (9/1) and Farclas (16/1) followed those two home, making it a clean sweep for Irish horses after the dominance at the Cheltenham Festival.
Paddy Power each-way punters benefiting from the extra places were also able to cheer home Blacklion in sixth at 50/1.
But the story is all about Rachael Blackmore who made even more history after an incredible few months in the saddle.
Spokesperson Paddy Power said: "It's a golden day for racing - the €15 million payout may sting a little, but I can't begrudge Rachael Blackmore one bit.
"The Tipp jock is a superstar who has rewritten the racing history books again. Minella Times is going to be a popular pub quiz question when the boozers reopen"
Overall the race ended in a score draw between punters and bookies, despite us paying six places with best odds guaranteed which added a £1 million to the Paddy Power pay out.
