Conor McGregor was among the first to congratulate Katie Taylor as she stormed to a comprehensive victory against Spain's Miriam Gutierrez in London.

The Irish sporting icon was at her magnificent best as she showed a stunning range of punches to dismantle her opponent from first bell to last.

It was a masterclasss of supreme quality from the Bray warrior as she extended her unbeaten record to 17-0 in the professional ranks.

There was an instant outpouring of support for Taylor, as she set her sights on extending her winning run in 2021.

As ever, Taylor's success sparked an instant outpouring of adoration on Twitter, with former UFC king Conor McGregor leading the way with his tribute.
