'a natural' Viewers praise Una Healy for doing 'fantastic' job at guest hosting RTE's Today with Daithi O Se

Una Healy has been dubbed “a natural” TV host as she showed off her presenting skills during a guest stint on RTÉ’s Today.

The Irish singer joined Daithi O Se in the studio as a co-host yesterday and today.

RTÉ viewers were full of praise for the former Saturdays star (39), with some even suggesting that she should become a regular presenter on the show.

'A natural'

One user wrote: “Well done Una, you were great on the show today. Great to see RTÉ giving young people a chance to prove themselves, would love to see her on every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.”

Another commented: “Una Healy is a natural, she was fantastic, should do a lot more of this. Well done, great show as always.”

Other viewers flocked to Twitter to praise the Tipperary native, tweeting: “Una is brill on Today with Daithi, really enjoying her presenting skills.”

Celeb co-hosts

Una filled in for host Sinead Kennedy, who is on maternity leave after welcoming baby girl Indie with her husband Conor Kirwan.

While Sinead looks after her newborn, a number of different co-presenters will be helping out on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Celebrity chef Rachel Allen joined Daithi on the show last week and radio presenter Elaine Kinsella will take over presenting duties from next Monday.

A spokesperson for RTÉ said: "Úna Healy, Rachel Allen and Blathnaid Tracey have done a wonderful job and we were delighted to have them on the show while Sinéad Kennedy is on maternity leave.

Sharing a behind-the-scenes selfie on Instagram ahead of her presenting debut, Una wrote: “So excited to co-present with @daithiose on @rtetoday today and tomorrow live from 3.30.”

The Tipperary native had previously shared her excitement about working alongside Daithi, saying: “I’m such a big fan of Today and have loved performing and being interviewed in previous years.

“The tables have turned and I’m really looking forward to presenting and having great craic alongside Daithi O Se!”
