A new teaser trailer for Season 15 of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia shows the gang’s hilarious adventures in Ireland.

The long-awaited upcoming season of the hit comedy is due to be released tomorrow, December 1st, in the United States. It is not yet known when the series will be available to watch in Ireland.

The show follows a gang of friends, known as The Gang, who own Paddy’s Pub, an Irish bar in the Pennsylvanian capital of Philadelphia.

And while the first trailer released earlier this month showed some clips of the gang having a ball on the Emerald Isle, things aren’t looking so sunny for Dennis, Charlie, Mac, Frank, and Sweet Dee after all.

In the 45 second clip, Mac (Rob McElhenney) proposes that the gang take a trip to Ireland together after longing for an “exotic” vacation.

But when they arrive in Ireland, all hell breaks loose and viewers are treated to a preview of the gang’s antics this season in the latest trailer released earlier today.

We see Dee sinking into a bog and later getting hit by a car, Frank spluttering after trying some of Colm Meaney’s cheeses, Dennis getting a bowl of soup to the face, and the whole gang carrying what looks to be a dead body up a very steep hill.

“Alright, this is why Irish people hate Americans,” Mac says at the end of the video.

An official synopsis of the season reads: “This is a season that sees The Gang try to exploit pandemic aid, sidestep cancel culture, evade criminal justice, reflect on their origins, and reconcile their identities and homeland roots."

A promotional poster for the season shows a cartoon version of The Gang wearing head to toe green, with matching ginger locks.

The cast visited the Emerald Isle in August while filming, and while here they were on the hunt for a Danny Devito look alike – although viewers will have to tune in to the new episodes of It’s Always Sunny to find out why.

The show, which first premiered in 2005, is set to run for a further four seasons, making it the longest-running live-action comedy series ever made.
