Nicole Kidman has begun filming the Apple TV+ series based on Cecilia Ahern’s novel Roar.

The eight-part anthology series is based on Cecelia Ahern’s collection of 30 short stories published in 2018, with each darkly comedic feminist tale exploring women’s experiences and perspectives.

Kidman, who is an executive producer on the show alongside Ahern, confirmed that production has commenced in Sydney, Australia yesterday.

She shared a photo on set sporting a strawberry blonde pixie cut as she stood beside some trailers in front of a rainbow.

The 54-year-old actor captioned the post: “On set #Roar #FemaleFilmmakers”

Kidman will star in Roar alongside Harriet star Cynthia Erivo, Marriage Story’s Merritt Wever, and Mad Men actress Alison Brie.

The show was created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, who previously made the comedy-drama series Glow about a women’s professional wrestling circuit.
