Mrs Brown’s Boys star Fiona O’Carroll celebrated Christmas with her ex-husband and co-star Martin Delany.

The former couple – who revealed earlier this month that they had split up three years ago – enjoyed Christmas Day at home in Ashbourne, Co. Meath with their four sons: Felix (14), Eli (12), Isaac (7), and Dexter (6).

They were joined by Fiona’s dad, Mrs Brown’s Boy creator Brendan O’Carroll, his wife Jenny Gibney, and Fiona’s brother Eric.

Taking to Instagram, Fiona shared a snap of the family-of-nine as they posed together on the couch wearing matching Christmas pyjamas.

Captioning the post, the 41-year-old wrote: “Merry Christmas everyone, from our house to yours with love”

It comes after Fiona admitted that she and Martin broke up because they “wanted different things.”

“Myself and Martin met very young. I was 16 , and I suppose he’s all I’ve ever known and we just kind of grew apart,” she said.

“There were no major fights, and nobody else was involved but it was a case of not being on the same page any longer.

“I think I hung on for as long as I did because when my own parents broke up, that was very public, and there was a lot of hurt involved there.

“I still have a lot of love for him and I only want the best for him and I think he feels the same way about me.”

Fiona said that Martin, who played Mrs Brown’s youngest son Trevor in the show, usually lives in Portugal but added that the pair co-parent their four sons, with Martin arriving home just in time for the festive season.

Meanwhile, Fiona’s famous father Brendan almost had to miss out on the Christmas celebrations entirely after being named a close contact of someone with Covid.

“I’m staying in my bubble because unfortunately, I was in contact with somebody who was in contact with somebody who tested positive. We’re waiting on the result of the PCR.” he told Joe Duffy last week.
