The reunion we’ve all been waiting for finally becomes a reality next week - when the cast of Friends get back together.

The cameras will begin rolling on the Friends reunion special in the coming days, with the cast all returning to film in the Burbank, California location which hosted the original series.

Rumours of a reunion special have been rife ever since one of TV’s biggest-ever shows ended 17 years ago.

The new show was announced last year but became one of showbiz’s most high-profile casualties of the pandemic.

Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc will all return to film the show for HBO Max.

A spokesperson did not comment, but Schwimmer confirmed the shoot on the Graham Norton Show this weekend. “I’m going to LA to shoot the Friends reunion. I will get to see everyone for the first time in years,” he said during an interview for his returning series, Intelligence.

Details of the story and production are being kept strictly under wraps by TV executives. Each of the show’s six stars is reputed to be getting $2.5 million for the reunion.
