Romantics looking for love will get their chance to find their perfect match as First Dates Ireland has opened up applications for the next season of the popular RTE reality show. 

Maître D' Mateo Saina, barman Ethan Miles, and waiters Alice and Pete plays hosts in the Coda Eatery at The Gibson Hotel where cameras are set up to capture all the action in what is the first fixed-rig show of its kind in Ireland.

And this year couples, friends and family will be invited to dine together in the background during the filming of the new series.

“The singletons who visit the restaurant range in age from 20 to 70 plus. The unobtrusive cameras allow the daters to forget they are being filmed and start bonding... or not!,” the application form reads.

“The tables are set, the champagne is on ice, and the doors are ready to open up and welcome in a whole new set of singletons looking for love. Fill in an application form below for the chance to find love in the First Dates restaurant!

The show has proved a hit with call centre worker Dylan (24)and 6ft rugby playing Conor (23) whose physical similarities struck a chord with viewers.

While rugby-player Conor had a slightly larger build than call-centre worker Dylan, the facial resemblance was uncanny.

After the Dublin lads bonded over their disinterest in gay bars, the decided to see each other again, thrilling viewers who were charmed by the pair.

However, viewers were later devastated when it was revealed they never did meet up for their second date.
