Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor is set to star in a TV adaptation of Naoise Dolan’s novel Exciting Times.

The 26-year-old will also executive produce the series for Amazon Pictures.

Exciting Times, Dolan’s bestselling debut novel, was released last year and centers on Ava, a 22-year-old Dublin woman teaching English to wealthy children in Hong Kong who becomes entangled in a sort-of love triangle with English banker Julian and Edith, a Cambridge-educated lawyer.

Black Bear Pictures, the media company behind the Academy Award-winning film The Imitation Game, secured the rights to Dolan's novel last year prior to its release date in the United States.

Naoise Dolan will serve as a writer and will executive produce the Amazon series alongside Dynevor, Michael Heimler, and Ben Stillman.

They will work with director Cooper Raiff and Black Bear’s Clementine Quittner and Sleena Wilson, who will co-produce the show.

Dolan tweeted a link to an article confirming the news of the series, writing: “Adaptation times!”
