Tommy Fury has slammed Jake Paul as a “joke” ahead of their upcoming boxing showdown next month.
The former Love Islander is due to fight the American social media star in an eight-round boxing match at the Amelie Arena in Tampa, Florida on December 18th.
The 22-year-old, who is the brother of two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is confident that he will beat Jake and said that it will be “a great night” for him.
“I’m a real fighter and he isn’t,” he told JOE.
“He’s a prankster who films videos on YouTube. He does what he does. I don’t really read into it; I don’t really know a hell of a lot about him.
“Jake Paul has made a career out of talking sh*t about other people... I’m not on social media so I don’t see what he [says] and I don’t care. My mind is just on total destruction come December 18th.
“So, he can say what he wants, it’s going to have no effect on me... He’s gonna come out and get dealt with.
“It all means nothing to me. I’m only thinking of one thing and that’s getting my hand raised on December 18th. And that’s exactly what’s going to happen.
“I don’t say ifs, buts, or maybes. I know that on December 18th, it’s my coming out party and it’s going to be a great night for me.”
He continued: “When I beat Jake Paul, I hope he gets his hand in his pocket and gives me what he’s promised.”
“Which is half a million dollars,” his father John Fury added.
Fury said that the fight will be a “step too far” for Paul, who has only been fighting professionally since 2019.

“He's got a load of yes men around him saying, ‘Oh yes, Jake, you can do this. You can do that. You can win a world title.’ But this is a step way too far for him,” he said.
“He’s had four fights against everyone who’s not a boxer – basketball players, YouTubers, MMA fighters. But it’s a whole different kettle of fish when you fight a man who’s been doing it his whole life.
“I've had seven professional fights against actual journeymen, who have actually been there with prospects. They know what it's like to be hit.
“This man here is a joke. He's a joker. I hope his yes men are going to get paid very well because all these people he's got around him have got him into some serious bother.
“He's going to realise that on December 18th, so I think there will be a few men fired after December 18th, put it that way.”
