We all love a nice wedding, what with the gorgeous style, a raucous get-together, and of course the big day for the couple themselves.

With social distancing and coronavirus restrictions we have had to put things on the long finger, until vaccines mean some sort of normality will soon return.

Gerry Ryan's daughter Bonnie was supposed to marry her fiancé John this summer, but they have put off their wedding until next year.

Newly-pregnant Laura Whitmore was one of the few celebs who got married in recent months, when she had a surprise wedding to her comedian partner Iain Stirling (33) in Dublin City Hall in November.

Pamela Anderson wowed fans by getting married last month for a fifth time, on this occasion to her bodyguard Dan Hayhurst.

Let's have a look at a few other well-known people who are set to walk down the aisle this year.

LOUISA LYTTON

She's known to millions of TV viewers as Ruby Allen in EastEnders and this summer the 32-year-old will be having her own real-life drama when she ties the knot with partner Ben Bhanvra.

The couple recently revealed they got engaged in the Maldives and then confirmed that a wedding they had planned for last August has been pushed back to this summer because of the pandemic.

"It was emotional making the decision to postpone because you put all this work and effort into something and then suddenly it's not happening for ages," Louisa said.

OLIVIA ATTWOOD

Former Love Island star Olivia Attwood and Blackburn Rovers footballer Bradley Dack have been entertaining us with their reality TV show Olivia Meets Her Match.

The series follows the lead-up to their big day, which is set to take place in June at luxury hotel Grantley Hall in Yorkshire.

No expense is being spared for the bash for Olivia (29) and Bradley (27).

"I could have a brand new Lamborghini for the cost of this wedding," Olivia said.

STACEY SOLOMON

X Factor star Stacey Solomon has revealed the reason why she and fiancé Joe Swash will tie the knot in 2021 - because their loved ones "won't be around forever".

They've been dating since 2018 and are one of the best-loved couples in showbiz, so fans were thrilled when the pair announced their engagement in December.

Loose Women presenter Stacey (31) is mum to 20-month old Rex with TV presenter Joe (39), and sons Leighton (8) and Zachary (12) from previous relationships.

Stacey revealed her engagement with an emotional Instagram post on Christmas Eve, showing off her huge engagement ring with the caption, "to the moon and back bub, I have no words".

She admitted one of her reasons for a 2021 wedding is because she feels time is precious, especially after the recent passing of Joe's granny.

"I used to think I wanted to run away and elope, but after losing family members this year, I could not feel more opposite," she told a fan in response about asking about the nuptials.

"One of the main reasons we'd love to get married as soon as we can is because there's special people in our lives that will not be around forever.

"And I would do anything to share our day with them.

"Especially knowing already how much we will miss those that can't be there.

"I've found my dream venue, we are just trying to see if the dates work and if it's possible and I can't wait to take you there with us when/if we are aloud (sic)."

JESSICA WRIGHT

The former The Only Way Is Essex star Jessica Wright is due to marry her businessman fiancé William Lee-Kemp in June.

She met William through her famous brother Mark, so it's only fitting that he will be master of ceremonies on the big day.

Mark's actress wife Michelle Keegan will be one of 15 - yes, 15 - bridesmaids at the ceremony in Mallorca, where the family have a second home.

"I've been dreaming of a fairytale wedding since I was little when I used to dress up in my mum's net curtains," said Jess (35).

ALEXANDER LUDWIG

Canadian actor Alexander Ludwig has spent much of the past few years in Co Wicklow filming Vikings, in which he plays Bjorn Ironside.

The 28-year-old star, who first shot to fame as Cato in The Hunger Games, announced on Instagram on January 4 that he and his fiancée of one month Lauren Dear had eloped and married at a resort in Utah.

"My wife, my best friend, the future mother of my children, my everything. @laurendear," Ludwig captioned a photo of the couple standing on a wooden deck with the snow-dusted countryside behind them

He added: "We decided to elope. It has been such a crazy year but it certainly put things into perspective. Life is too short. And I didn't want to spend another day without calling this beautiful woman my wife. Of course when things settle down we will have a proper celebration with our friends and family but for now -the love of my life, our dog yam, a yurt on a mountain top in the middle of nowhere sounded like the perfect beginning."

JENNIFER LOPEZ

Jenny from the Block seems to be trying to outdo Pamela Anderson in the wedding stakes as she's already notched up three marriages.

But the 51-year-old confesses she shared a "weird electricity" since first meeting baseball star Alex Rodriguez (45). A-Rod proposed to her in the Bahamas in March 2019 and while they've twice postponed their wedding due to the pandemic, they have plans to walk down the aisle later this year.

Jennifer has never had a religious ceremony and intends to correct that.

"I've never been married in a church," she said.
