Tennis star Camila Giorgi has been targeted by online trolls after sharing a series of racy lingerie snaps on her social media channels.

The 30-year-old Italian, who reached a career-high of world No.26 in October 2018, made it through the quarter-finals of Wimbledon in that same year.

Now she has come under fire from a small selection of social media users after posing in a selection of photographs that has predictably been viewed by millions around the world.

Georgi’s images are certain to bolster he already sizeable social media following, with her 316,000 Instagram followers clearly enjoying the photographs that were greeted with tens of thousands of likes.

However, some comments were less than complimentary, with some critics accusing her of looking like a ‘porn star’ rather than an athlete.

Another posted this reply: “From a tennis player to a porn actress on a set.”

There were also a host of replies complimenting Giorgi glamorus shots, with the Italian giving her huge army of admirers on Instagram a very special New Year surprise.
