McDreamy's hideout Patrick Dempsey has been secretly living with a Northern Ireland business owner - and her donkey

A luxury fragrance business owner has been hosting actor Patrick Dempsey in her Northern Ireland home for the past two weeks.

The former Grey’s Anatomy star landed in the country earlier this month to film the sequel to Disney’s Enchanted this summer with his Hollywood co-star, Amy Adams.

Dempsey, known as ‘McDreamy’ for his role in the hospital drama, has left fans wondering where he’s been staying since arriving in Ireland - and now the secret is out.

The actor has been put up by Coleraine-based Olivia Burns, who runs her own home fragrance brand, Olivia’s Haven.

Olivia confirmed the news on Instagram today and posted a photo posing with Dempsey, writing: “That time Dr. McDreamy stayed at Olivia’s Haven HQ for two weeks!

“The secret is out! We have been hosting the fabulous Patrick Dempsey for the last two weeks as he prepares to star in his exciting new Disney film, Disenchanted.

“It has been very surreal going to work and seeing McDreamy everyday. We have enjoyed lots of daily chats with Patrick about the beautiful Northern Irish countryside and of course Olivia’s Haven (his favourite scent is our smoky Irish Fireside).

“Mr Dempsey was also a big hit with our donkey, Neddy, who is now Insta famous with over 1.1 million views on Instagram!!

“We are sad to see him go today but loved having him to stay and wish Patrick lots of luck with his new film, we can’t wait to see it!

“P.S. Patrick wants us to set up and Instagram page just for Neddy – what do we think?”

Dempsey has been documenting his adventures on the Emerald Isle through his Instagram account, posting regular updates of his local walking routes.

On Thursday, he revealed that he paid a visit to Mussenden Temple in Derry by posting a selfie at the Northern Irish beauty spot.

The actor also donned a flat cap and took a selfie grinning as he stood in the rain next to Neddy the donkey.

He captioned the post: “My new trusty steed” and shared it online with his 6.1 million followers.

His co-star Amy Adams has also taken to social media since arriving in Ireland ahead of filming.

In a video, she said: “I am in Ireland where I am getting ready to start filming on the sequel to Enchanted, which I am very excited about.”
