Award-winning singer Meat Loaf died on Thursday night.

His agent Micheal Greene confirmed the news in a statement this morning.

Speaking to Deadline, he said the singer and actor, whose real name is Michael Lee Aday, died with his wife Deborah by his side.

In a statement, his family said: “We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man.

“From his heart to your souls…don’t ever stop rocking!”
