Here's how to get the final tickets to sold-out Electric Picnic 2022

However, demand for tickets was extremely high this year, with the entire festival selling out in just 30 minutes meaning thousands of music lovers across the country missed out.

But those who were unsuccessful in their quest for tickets, there's still one last chance to attend the iconic event on the weekend of September 2 to 4.

The National Dairy Council’s Tour De Picnic 17km run or 80km cycle will bag you a golden ticket to Electric Picnic this year,all while raising vital funds for three charities: including the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice, Ronald McDonald House, and ISPCC Childline.

Departing from Tallaght Stadium, participating cyclists will head for the Blessington Greenway and take in some of Ireland’s biggest dairy farms before passing the village of Brannockstown.

From there, riders will move along the Barrow Blueway before reaching Stradbally.

As for runners, the journey will start at a dairy farm in Athy, Co Kildare before covering farmland and Coillte forests and passing through Oughvale Woods.

There will be plenty of pit stops along for both runners and cyclists, where they can refuel with a quick snack before ploughing on.

A celebratory meal is promised later on followed by a weekend of entertainment at the festival

This year participants are required to raise €450 (including registration) for the NDC Tour De Picnic charities to take part in the run or cycle, with their weekend pass to Ireland’s most popular music festival waiting for them at the finish line.

Singer Róisín O said: “I can’t say I have ever run to Electric Picnic before, normally I arrive in atour van! But it’s for such a great cause that it will be as worthwhile as taking to the stage! And even better, one of the charities is very close to my heart.”

Melvin Benn, Electric Picnic’s Festival Director who has cycled Tour de Picnic for the last five years said: “I cannot recommend enough it as a better and healthier way to start a festival weekend – and it’s one less car on the road.”
