Based on children's novel The Sheep-Pig by Dick King-Smith, it tells the story of an adorable piglet named Babe, who dodges the dinner table after learning to herd sheep.

A crafty combination of real and animatronic animals, as well as stunning visual effects, were used to bring the talking piggy and pals to life on the big screen.

While Oscar-nominated James Cromwell got so into his role as kindly Farmer Hoggett that he's been vegan ever since.
