Filming for Disney’s Disenchanted will begin in Dundalk, Co. Louth from tomorrow.

The production team have reportedly arrived at the border town and are preparing to film some scenes with Patrick Dempsey in Dundalk’s Clarke train station on Friday morning.

It is understood that train services will be temporarily paused while the scenes are being filmed.

Sources say that the team behind the sequel to the hit 2007 film Enchanted are currently using Dundalk Institute of Technology as a production base, with areas of the college being sectioned off from the public.

The Disney film will be shooting in a number of Irish locations including Enniskerry, Greystones, and Dublin city over the summer months.

The town of Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow will be sealed off for 11 days in June so the cast can film at a huge set built especially for the film.

Indoor scenes will be filmed at the RDS in Dublin, which has seen builders create giant structures in preparation.

The popular rom-com musical will see Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey reprise their roles as Princess Giselle and divorce attorney Robert.

Also returning to our screens are Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine and James Marsden as the lovable Prince Edward.

Joining the fun are new cast members Maya Rudolph – who is billed to play the film’s villain – as well as Jayma Mays, Yvette Nicole Brown, Kolton Stewart, and Oscar Nunez.
