Maura Higgins has showed off her Cartier earrings worth almost €3,000 on Instagram but admitted that she doesn’t like to flaunt her bling on social media.

The former Love Island star hopped on to her Instagram Stories last to answer some questions from her followers.

During the Q&A session, Maura was asked to attach a link to the earrings she had on.

The Longford lady revealed that she was wearing a pair of Cartier’s Just Un Clou earrings, which are made from 18K gold and retail at a whopping €2,880.

However, she admitted that while she loves to splurge on luxury items for herself, she hates showing off her purchases on social media.

She added that she doesn’t like to post her hauls online because she “didn’t have the money” to buy such extravagant items when she was younger.

The 30-year-old explained: “The one thing I actually really hate sharing is like jewellery or like, stuff that I buy because I know growing up, I didn’t have the money to buy stuff like that and I hate showing it on social media.

“I just don’t really like to show my purchases.

“I know you’ve asked, and I’ll gladly share it but a lot of the questions that are coming in right now are like, ‘Show us your deliveries!’ and it’s just something I really don’t like doing.

“I’d rather just stay humble. It’s not me.

“If I want to buy something for myself, it’s for myself and it’s not to kind of splash out on social media. I just don’t really like that.

Maura’s comments come after it emerged that she would pocket an estimated €30,000 for presenting her new RTÉ show, Glow Up: Ireland’s Next Make-Up Star
