Love Island’s Toby Aromolaran is currently in Crossmolina with his Mayo mammy.

The 22-year-old, who came second in the hit reality show with his girlfriend Chloe Burrows, arrived in Ireland today.

He shared his journey to the Emerald Isle with his one million Instagram followers. His first stop was Dublin before he headed to his mother's home county Mayo.

The semi-professional footballer landed in Dublin and then took a road trip to Mayo, stopping at Kilbride and Lough Conn before getting to Crossmolina.

Toby shared an adorable picture of him and his mammy at a Crossmolina road sign, with the caption: “Me & Mumzy back at her roots!”

Many fans were wondering if Toby took his Love Island girlfriend Chloe on the trip, however it doesn’t appear so.

She did comment on the picture, however, writing: “Awwwwww” followed by crying face emojis and loved hearts.

Love Island fans were happy to find out towards the end of the last series that semi-finalist Toby is half Irish, as it wasn’t mentioned on the show.

The revelation was unveiled in one of the final episodes of series seven as Toby’s Mayo mammy Victoria visited the villa and met his new girlfriend Chloe.

Speaking to his Instagram followers, the 22-year-old said he was shocked to find out that people didn’t know his heritage, as he frequently spoke to his villa mates about being half Nigerian and half Irish.

However, he said those conversations mustn’t have been aired.
