Driver for K Club Last Duel cast swap swords for clubs as they get private golf lessons in K Club
The cast and crew on Matt Damon’s The Last Duel have been spending their down time hitting golf balls at the K Club.
While Damon himself is holed up in a swanky pile in Dalkey, the likes of Adam Driver and Jodi Comer have been spending their weekends on the championship Ryder Cup course.
According to former PGA tour player Gary Murphy, who works out of the hallowed club house, he has been spending his weekends putting the 200 or so cast and crew through their paces.
The €250 a-round track is currently out of commission for anyone living outside of Kildare due to the Level 3 restrictions.
But Murphy has been booked solid all weekend teaching the movie team how to improve their swings.
And while he wouldn’t say which cast members had been hitting the range he did confess that a number of A-listers were taking part.
Speaking to the Golf Weekly Podcast Murphy said: “Things are going great, the course is looking really well considering all the rain we have had.
“We have a movie, that is going to come out next year, the Last Duel.
“They are all on situ in the hotel.
“So, I am coaching the crew at the weekend so it is good fun.
“Yes, there are loads of A-listers, no it is great, most of them are non-golfers so it has been lots of fun trying to help them with their golf games at the weekend.
Movie bosses have booked the K Club to quarantine the 200-strong entourage — as people flying in from non-Green List countries were compelled to hide away for two weeks.
However, with the introduction of Level 3 restrictions, the decision was made to stay on in the five-star hotel.
