€25k prize Westlife star Nicky Byrne unveils new RTE singing game show Take On Me

Westlife star, Nicky Byrne (42) has revealed his new RTE singing contest to the public on social media this week.

The new RTE show, TAKE ON ME is a brand new Saturday night original series which puts singers against one another to bag a grand prize of €25,000.

To make it to the final players will be asked to use their tactical skills to out-smart their fellow contestants, while also showing off their dazzling karaoke talents.

The Irish charmer posted a video on Instagram, encouraging people around the country, to be in for a chance of winning the ultimate cash prize.

He explains to his avid followers the details of the show saying.

"Hey all, it's Nicky Byrne. Have you heard of Take On Me?


"Well it's RTE brand new singing game show and we're looking for singers from right across the country who think they have what it takes to not only outsmart but out-sing their competition.

"So if you love a challenge and you want to be in with a chance to win a cool cash prize of €25,000 then apply now."

Minutes after the video was posted his fans were there with support and encouragement for both the star and his many talented followers.

RTE and Westlife fans from as far afield as Israel, New Zealand and Malaysia flooded to the comments. Many welcoming him back after months out of the limelight.

One fan wrote, “The best host in town, can’t wait for this.”

A short time later, RTE posted the video on their Instagram page, proudly introducing their new show. They commented.

“Our brand new singing gameshow has just found its brand new host and @nickybyrneinsta wants to hear you sing.”

Nicky’s news comes after a year spending time with his family and celebrating the important things in life. He celebrated his wife’s 42nd birthday where he shared snaps on social media of the two of them together.
