Vogue Williams reveals she almost bought a stuffed flamingo for her London home
“I was like, ‘If it’s dead, is it battered? What does it look like? I don’t want some battered, old-looking flamingo.’

Vogue Williams has confessed that she has become so posh that she almost bought a taxidermy flamingo for her London home.
The Howth native already has a stuffed pheasant and lobster on display in the pad she shares with husband Spencer Matthews and their two children, Theordore and Gigi.
Speaking to Joanne McNally on their podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me, Vogue revealed that a stuffed flamingo caught her eye when she was doing a photoshoot.
“I was in this house for a shoot and they had a stuffed flamingo, I swear. And I was like, ‘How did you get that flamingo? You’re not allowed do that,’” she said.
“He was like, ‘If a flamingo dies of natural causes like in a zoo or something, a taxidermist will take the flamingo and stuff it.’

“I knew a taxidermist because I've got a lobster and she had to fix it for us because it came from St. Bart’s. Spenny still gets amazing birthday presents off his parents. That was a present!
“So, the same girl, she mailed me on Instagram a while ago like, ‘I’ve come across a flamingo. There was a flamingo from a flock in Birmingham Zoo or something and it’s died and they’ve offered it to me.’”
But Vogue was apprehensive and asked for some photos before she committed to buying the stuffed animal.
“I was like, ‘If it’s dead, is it battered? What does it look like? I don’t want some battered, old-looking flamingo.’
“I was like, 'Can I have a few pictures?' She was like, 'Dead or alive? I just wanted to make sure it was pink enough.”
Vogue told Joanne that she decided against buying the stuffed flamingo, but the duo laughed that the model had forgotten her Dublin roots and become too comfortable in lavish London.
She explained that her husband, Made In Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews, was far more posh than her.
Vogue laughed: “Spenny is so posh that he actually said to me, he was like, ‘Darling, we should do polo lessons once a month together!’ No way, that’s too far even for me. Not a hope. He’s got polo boots and everything!”
