Una Healy has announced that she will make her grand return to the stage tonight after two years.

The singer and former member of The Saturdays will be joining her uncle Declan Nerney and his band for an intimate gig at the Red Cow Inn on the Naas Road in Dublin tonight.

Speaking to her Instagram followers, Una said that she would be performing a few of her own songs and added that she’s “so excited” to get back onstage.

The 39-year-old said: “I am so excited today. So, I’m actually performing on stage for the first time in over two years tonight. I’m a special guest for my uncle Declan Nerney.

“If you’re in the Dublin area, the Red Cow Inn, I’ll be on stage from half 8 to half 10. I’ll be doing a few songs with Declan and his band and a couple of my own.

“I just can’t wait to get back out on stage again. It’s been too long.

“I’m going to go for something sparkly tonight to mark the occasion,” she added as she gave a sneak peak of her glittery outfit.

Una’s return to the stage comes after she said that there’s “nothing like” performing live.

The mum-of-two told Independent.ie that she dearly misses being on stage in front of thousands of fans and thinks rapid antigen testing would be a huge boost for large-scale events in Ireland.

“I think that would make sense and now that the vaccines are rolling out and the virus is under control a bit more and we understand more about it,” she said.

“They’ve done some antigen tests at other events, before and after them and that sounds like a really good plan to do that here. For travel as well as live gigs.
