Una Healy has shared snaps from backstage while filming a New Years Eve show set to air tonight.

The Heart of Saturday Night special, which she filmed with co-host Loah at the Round Room in the Mansion House, will have music and chat with Ryan McMullan, Nathan Carter, Mary Black, Aoife Ni Bhriain and Shiv.

Airing at 10.45pm on RTE One tonight, the hour long special was filmed weeks ago.

In one snap she posed in a black and silver sequinned dress as she stood next to Loah who donned a stunning sixties-style print yellow dress with gold platform heels.

Other pics showed the co-hosts as they chat on stage.

“Myself and my gorgeous co-host @musicbyloah are back with a very special New Years Eve edition of ‘The Heart of Saturday Night’. Join us from 10.45pm [tonight] on RTE One.”

In another post, she shared a video of herself applying lipstick as Diana Krall song ‘The Heart of Saturday Night’ played.

“Backstage at The Heart of Saturday night,” she wrote tagging fellow musician Loah.

It’s just one of two New Years Eve shows she is set to front for RTE as the country rings in the new year.

Una will also be hosting RTE One’s New Year’s Eve countdown show live from 11.45pm.

The mum-of-two will present the Near Year’s Eve special from studios in Donnybrook, with guests including Lyra, Mick Flannery, Susan O’Neill and stars from sport and comedy.

The countdown show was originally meant to be an outdoor concert at Dublin Castle hosted by comedians The 2 Johnnies.

While TV bosses were forced to cancel the concert due to rising Covid cases, the 2 Tipperary men pulled out of the show completely leaving RTE scrambling to replace them.

Picture This and Lyra were also due to perform at the show but have since been replaced as part of the new programme.
