Una Healy has hit back at a social media troll who left nasty comments about her body.

The singer and former member of The Saturdays took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a post-workout selfie in which she showed off her toned figure and impressive abs while wearing a blue sports bra and some black Nike tracksuit bottoms.

She captioned the post: “Hard work pays off”

One person decided to leave a mean message in the comments section, sharing a vomiting emoji with the words “belly button.”

But Una was less than impressed and hit back by saying: “shame on you.”

The commenter responded with a laughing face emoji: “it's not just your belly button its all belly buttons.”

Fans were quick to come to the Tipperary native’s defence, with one follower writing: “it5’s a beautiful belly button @unahealy xx.”

The rest of the comments section was flooded with compliments for Una’s “stunning” photo.

One fan wrote: “Looking great. Hard work certainly worked for you Una.”

Another said: “Looking hotter than ever!”

While a third chimed in: “Looking fit Una! Abs look as hard as a rock!!! Fair play”

And a fourth penned: “You look phenomenal Una absolutely gorgeous”

It comes after Una paid tribute to her mother Anne and her daughter Aoife-Belle (9) for International Women’s day.

Taking to social media, the singer shared a picture of herself posing with the pair on Aoife Belle’s communion day with the caption: “Here’s to strong women. May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them. Happy #internationalwomensday.”

The mum-of-two marked the occasion with an intense workout in her home gym, which she recently decorated with mirrors.

She shared a video of her tanned and toned physique as she lifted weights to The Saturdays song ‘Up.’
