U2 have joined TikTok to tease their latest track ‘Your Song Saved My Life.’

The single was officially released today, November 3.

In a video on their brand-new TikTok account, the band shared a snippet of the new song on Monday and wrote: “U2 now on TikTok.”

They also revealed that most of U2’s discography is now available for TikTok creators to use as part of their videos on the platform, including hits such as Beautiful Day, Vertigo, With or Without You, and Where the Streets Have No Name.

Fans were very excited to see the Irish band’s profile on the social media app, with their first video reaching almost 54,000 hits in under a day.

One delighted supporter took to the comments section to express their glee, writing: “Just because of U2, I created a TikTok account! I guess, I would do anything for @U2. And it’s so good to hear B’Man’s voice again!”

Another said: “I’m in shock. You are my inspiration. You are my strength. You are amazing. I love you and your songs so much. Welcome to TikTok.”

The band have since shared the track to YouTube.

Your Song Saved My Life will feature on the soundtrack of Sing 2, the sequel to the hit 2016 animated film starring Taron Egerton, Scarlett Johanssen, Reese Witherspoon, and Matthew McConaughey.

As well as having a tune in the film, U2 frontman and “resident artist” Bono will also star as “rockstar lion Clay Calloway,” a former singer “who shut himself away from the world more than a decade ago after the loss of his wife and hasn't been seen since.”
